The fibaro universal sensor is designed for installation in the housing of another device to add z-wave functionality. The Z-Wave module provides two generic digital inputs and connections for up to four temperature sensors (not included). The device is small enough to fit within standard PIR sensor or other sensors like leak detectors, rain sensors etc to Z-Wave enable it.
Once additional safety housing have been installed, the Sensor can also be used in areas with high humidity and high temperature. The Sensor’s main function is the integration of the wireless Z-Wave System with the existing wire-based system. The device requires a dc supply voltage between 9 and 30V so it could be used for a wide range of applications.
